Starting the Year Together: BizFrosh & BizMentorship 2025

The Fall 2025 semester began with one clear goal: help students feel supported and confident as they stepped into a new academic year. For IBA, that means starting with people before anything else.

We opened the semester with BizFrosh, welcoming first-year students into IBA and the broader business community at UTM. The day was designed to ease the transition into university life through an executive panel, interactive activities, and space to connect with peers. More than an introduction, BizFrosh was about reassurance, showing students they didn’t have to navigate their university journey alone.

That sense of support carried into BizMentorship, where conversations became more personal and reflective. Students connected with upper-year mentors across management, marketing, finance, and accounting to talk honestly about academics, internships, pressure, and finding balance. The advice shared was candid and experience-based, offering clarity without sugarcoating the challenges.

Together, BizFrosh and BizMentorship set the foundation for the semester, built on trust, openness, and community.
