Finding Balance with Accounting Expo & Eagles After Dark 2025

As the semester picked up pace, it became clear that student life isn’t one-dimensional. Some weeks call for polished conversations and career questions, while others call for music, laughter, and time to simply enjoy the people around you. This part of the term reflected that balance. IBA focused on creating spaces that supported both professional growth and genuine community.

Accounting Expo represented one side of that experience. Students connected directly with professionals from Richter, MNP, Deloitte, EY, Farnham Accountants & Advisors, SRCO Professional Corporation, George Weston Limited, McGovern Hurley LLP, and CPA Ontario. Through meaningful conversations, students explored career paths, asked honest questions, and gained insight into the accounting field beyond the classroom.

The other side came to life at Eagles After Dark, IBA’s first-ever Halloween party. Hosted in collaboration with Toronto Lambdas, the night offered a more relaxed way to connect. With costumes, music, and familiar faces, it gave students space to step away from academics and strengthen the sense of community that had formed throughout the semester.
